Circulating Collection
This is the main library collection and spans most of the north side of S-410. Materials in this collection may be borrowed for eight weeks at a time.
Course Reserves
The Library makes every effort to have copies of textbooks for all currently-taught course on reserve for students to borrow. Books on reserve may be borrowed for three hours at a time.
Textbook Collection
The Library keeps older editions of current textbooks in a special “textbook” collection. These books may be borrowed for four weeks at a time and are lent on a first-come, first-serve basis.
Leisure Reading
Looking for something to read for your own enjoyment? The Library has a collection of popular novels, shelved by author, near the Circulation Desk. They can be borrowed for eight weeks at a time.
Children’s Literature Review Center
This collection is organized by grade level and is designed to support the College’s Teacher Education program. They can be borrowed for eight weeks at a time.

Comics and Graphic Novels
One recent addition to the library is its Comics and Graphic Novel collection. This collection contains an assortment of titles and genres ranging from classic American Superhero comics to Japanese manga and independent graphic novels. They can be borrowed for eight weeks at a time.

Periodicals (Magazines and Journals)
The Library has a collection of print journals and magazines near the Media Desk. These don’t circulate, but you can read them in the library.
DVDs and BluRays
The Library collects and lends DVDs and BluRays. They are available for loan at the Media Desk. They can be borrowed for one week at a time.
Media and Equipment
Laptops and tablets, as well as battery chargers and graphing calculators can be borrowed from the Media Desk. For more information about equipment, please see our Media page.

The College Archives contain materials pertaining to the history and growth of BMCC. Materials can be viewed by appointment. For more information about the Archives, please see our Archives page.
