Office of Accessibility

Starting in the Fall 2021 term, the Office of Accessibility is operating with a blend of remote and in-person services and newly updated hours of operation. If students, faculty, or staff have questions or need assistance, please do not hesitate to call us at (212) 220-8180 or to email us at accessibility@bmcc.cuny.edu. All questions and concerns will be immediately directed to an Office of Accessibility team member.

The most current information and resources about BMCC operations and access to campus are available on the Reimagining BMCC webpage.

Student Access to Disability Services at CUNY

Mission Statement

The Office of Accessibility collaborates with and empowers students who have disabilities in order to coordinate support services, reasonable accommodations and programs that enable equal access to education and college life. We serve as a resource to faculty and staff and works to provide regular training opportunities, advisement, and consultation on equal access, compliance, delivery of equitable services, universal design, and other disability-related issues. The Office of Accessibility provides opportunities and resources that will facilitate the development of self-advocacy, self-efficacy and adaptive skills in students to overcome barriers a disability may present.
