“Optional Practical Training (OPT)” is temporary employment that is directly related to an F-1 student’s major area of study. Eligible students can apply to receive up to 12 months of OPT employment authorization in total during (pre-completion) or after before completing their academic studies (pre-completion).
What if you didn’t want to work for someone else during this 12 months? What if you want to form your own business as part of your OPT? You can! In this workshop, ISSO is pleased to welcome a practicing immigration attorney to tell you how to do it legally. This will be a great opportunity for you to ask questions regarding the benefits of creating your own start-up company while in OPT.
This event will take place online via Zoom. Sign up for the event to receive the link to join the event.
