How to Apply

Here are the steps to enroll in the MEOC:

1. Admissions

Get an overview of all MEOC programs, services and the enrollment process in person at one of our Admissions Sessions. To be admitted, you must complete an application and submit your required documents (see the checklist).

Admissions eligibility documents can be accepted remotely by emailing them to Karen Berry at documents@man.eoc.cuny.edu.  If you need to submit documents in person, make an appointment by emailing Genet Teklehaimanot at Genet.Teklehaimanot@man.eoc.cuny.edu.

2. Placement Testing and Advisement

The Test of Adult Basic Education or TABE is a reading and math admissions exam, which helps us place you in the right program. If you do not meet the minimum requirements for the program you want, you may be placed in another program you qualify for and then retake the TABE at the end of the semester. You will meet with an Advisor to review your scores and program eligibility.

3. Orientation and Registration

Student orientation is held before registration and where you will learn about the MEOC policies and procedures. Immediately following orientation, you will be registered and receive your schedule and student ID. Books can be issued on the same day or any day before the first day of classes.
