Fernando Birri was an Argentine film maker and theorist. He was considered by many to be the father of the new Latin American cinema. The film ORG explores the complex relationship between the spirit, body, and mind.
With assistance from the Spectacle Theatre, situated in Williamsburg, Brooklyn, each Wednesday of the month of November, from 2 – 5 p.m., we will present one or more films by Argentine director Fernando Birri, lauded by many as the “father of new Latin American cinema,” and various directors of Puerto Rican descent. The films by Puerto Rican directors are either set either in New York or on the island of Puerto Rico.
Refreshments will be served.
