What are the lab hours?
Monday – Thursday: 10 a.m. – 6 p.m.
Friday: 10 a.m. – 5 p.m.
Saturday: CLOSED (Fall and Spring Semesters ONLY)
Sunday: CLOSED (Fall and Spring Semesters ONLY)

Who can use the open labs?
Any currently enrolled student with a valid BMCC ID. All others must be approved by Dean Janice Zummo, Room S-715A.
Why is there a one hour time limit?
There are approximately 30 workstations in each lab. The time limit gives all students an opportunity to use the computers.
Can I get help with my course work?
Students seeking help with course work should register for a tutoring appointment.
Why do I need personal media?
The LRC is not responsible for lost work. Computer lab hard drives are deleted daily. You must save your work on personal media such as USB drive, or utilize your cloud storage. The LRC does not sell personal media. You may purchase them in the college bookstore.
What is the printing policy?
Students are allowed to print 14 pages per printout.
Why can’t I install any software?
All software on BMCC LRC computers must be licensed and registered to BMCC.
What is not permitted in the labs?
Eating, drinking, radio playing and cell phone usage are strictly prohibited.
Can my friends work with me?
Students who are not working on a computer will not be permitted in the lab because of space constraints.
Are children allowed in the labs?
Because lab equipment can pose a risk to children, children will not be permitted in the labs.
