Vice President for Information Technology
Joseph Spadaro is Vice President for Information Technology. He has served as a Chief Information Officer (CIO) on college campuses for more than 18 years, leading technology efforts in strategic, collaborative and innovative ways.
Prior to joining BMCC, Spadaro served as the first CIO at Haverford College, where he led the organization through significant technological and organizational change. Before this role, he served as the first CIO at St. Joseph’s College in New York, providing leadership and vision for the multi-campus enterprise. Additional professional experiences include IT roles at the Metropolitan New York Library Council, the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee, William Mitchell College of Law, and Michigan State University.
Spadaro earned a B.S. in Multidisciplinary Social Science from Michigan State University, an M.A. in Library and Information Studies from the University of Wisconsin-Madison, and a M.S. in Telecommunications and Computing Management from New York University-Polytechnic School of Engineering.
