Join us for a virtual tour at the Museum of the City Of New York where we will learn about the Legacy of Housing Discrimination in New York City.
The Activist NY program features sources that examine the civil rights movement in NYC, including actions by Black activists in the 1950s and 60s, the Young Lords activism around healthcare in the 1970s, and concludes with bringing the conversation up to the Movement for Black Lives today. Tracing the Legacy of Housing Discrimination in NYC explores the history and legacy of housing discrimination in New York City and examines how activists mobilized to fight for equal housing rights.
