About Mario J. Rizzo
Mario J. Rizzo is a professor in the Department of Economics at New York University and the co-director of the Classical Liberal Institute at the NYU Law School. He teaches a yearly seminar at NYU School of Law on “Classical Liberalism.” He is also the director of the Program on the Foundations of the Market Economy in the Department of Economics. In 2015 a third greatly expanded edition of the Economics of Time and Ignorance was published (co-authored with Gerald P. O’Driscoll, Jr.) called Austrian Economics Re-Examined: The Economics of Time and Ignorance. Most recently. he is the author (with Glen Whitman) of Escaping Paternalism: Rationality, Behavioral Economics. and Public Policy. He is currently working on legal rules, the economics of Frank H. Knight, and the philosophy and psychology of William James.
