Manjinder Kaur

ManjinderFor President • Independent

Hello, dear student body,

My name is Manjinder Kaur.  A stubborn girl always wants to follow her heart path. Uncontrollable and go to any extent to help others: little worrier but major warrior. Commencing, playing a leadership role at home, and fought for sibling wishes to fulfill against society. I am in the second semester at BMCC, majoring in science and running for the president position. With this chance, I want to make an impactful solution to all the problems and build long-term relationships and loyalty that will lead students to feel valued.

In this modern world, people focus on self-growth, which is essential, but forget that humanity is above all, and in my perspective, when we forget this truth, the problem arises. Everyone running their groups, fighting for their own identity, this is the place where problems occur. Our people, our groups, our community in college, where is the place for all? For example, the Hispanic student group. With this title, only those students think to join in the group but what about others? This creates problems. They fight for only their problems and then problems will only decrease for a few people, not everyone. Another group, same feelings, same issues but different titles. I want to change this. I want folks to feel and entirely accept the new way of living happily with equality. I want to make meaningful clubs and want to fulfill the needs of everyone.

As a President, I will work to fulfill all students’ requirements and resolve the student concerns. I will make sure to listen and provide effective solutions. I will make sure that students will receive every opportunity to grow. Moreover, with my work, I want to make a positive impact on the lives of students. I believe in quality, not quantity—for instance, clubs but beneficial. Similarly, if I budget less or more, I assure everyone that I will undoubtedly fulfill everyone’s needs.

Therefore, I want to become the SGA President to bring that equality to people and to help everyone. Thank you.
