For Vice-President • Roaring Panthers
I extend a respectful greeting to all students of Borough of Manhattan Community College. My name is Brunel Derilus, a second semester student at BMCC majoring in Sociology. The election for the Student Government Association at BMCC plays a significant role in student life as it builds a university community democratically strong for the wellbeing of all students. Therefore, I am running for the seat of the Vice President in order to defend the collective interests of the student community.
My strategic plan in regards to communication aims to ensure that I am maximizing every opportunity to inform, inspire and motivate voters through social media. It is a fact that voters are interested in knowing that the candidate they choose to vote for represents very specific interests. What attracts voters are not individual political measures, but global vision for the university community that brings the 3 Cs into line: Consistency, Credibility, and Coherence. These three elements represent in themselves the fundamental base that should inspire the remaining tactics. I am going to take the opportunity to use all types of media resources to communicate and consult with the student body including the use of social media.
My motivation for a better representation of our student community is the primary reason why I am running for Vice President. The times that we are living in now demand change. We must change what we can change for the betterment of the whole student community. I aim to tackle the burdens of the student community with colleagues to change our community for the better. Clubs are a vital part for the student community so I am going to advocate for a substantial budget to effectively help them to achieve their goals. Can I count on your support?
Thank you very much for your time and your consideration, and I hope I can count on your vote and support like you can count on your future Vice President.
