A Suitable Girl follows three young women in India struggling to maintain their identities and follow their dreams amid intense pressure to get married. The film examines the women’s complex relationship with marriage, family, and society. Directed by Sarita Khurana and Smriti Mundra.
After the film screening, there will be a questiona and answer period with the film’s director Sarita Khurana.

About Sarita Khurana
Sarita Khurana is a Director, Producer, and Educator, based in Brooklyn, New York. Khurana’s feature film, A Suitable Girl, world premiered in the 2017 Tribeca Film Festivbal Documentary Competition section and won the Best New Documentary Director prize.
