“RE:SEARCH,” an exhibition of recent faculty art, opens at Borough of Manhattan Community College (BMCC) of the City University of New York (CUNY) on Wednesday, February 22, in the Shirley Fiterman Art Center. The exhibit runs through April 1.
“RE:SEARCH” provides visitors a glimpse of BMCC’s dynamic, diverse faculty of artists and designers. The breadth and depth of talent on display demonstrates the college’s continued support for a growing art department.
With a variety of approaches to art making on exhibit, BMCC faculty demonstrate wide-ranging expertise in techniques and styles- from traditional art media techniques in painting and sculpture that date back hundreds of years, to pieces made with advanced materials and cutting-edge technology.
There will be a related gallery talk on March 15 at 2:00 p.m.
