What is IDNYC?

IDNYC is New York City’s free municipal identification program. All New York City residents who reside in the five boroughs are eligible for the ID, regardless of immigration status.

IDNYC benefits

  • Get free one-year membership to 40 of the City’s best museums, zoos, and botanical gardens
  • Save on sporting events such as baseball, basketball, and soccer games, including Barclays Center and New York Road Runners events
  • Can be used as a library card across NYC
  • Save 15% on annual Citi Bike membership
  • Accepted as an ID for opening a bank account at select financial institutions and credit unions

IDNYC will be right here on campus at Borough of Manhattan Community College for a limited time:

199 Chambers Street, Room S642

Wednesday, November 2 to Friday, November 18

Students will be seen on a walk-in basis.

Proof of identity, and proof of NYC address required. A variety of documents are accepted, including:

  • NYS Driver’s License or Non-State ID with current address
  • Passport and a bank/credit card statement
  • CUNY ID, CUNY transcript with date of birth, birth certificate and a cell phone bill
