On Wednesday, July 27 from 12:00 p.m. to 1:00 p.m. BMCC’s Continuing Education and Workforce Development will be hosting a Lunch & Learn on Data Analytics for the 21st Century.
We will cover:
1. History of relational databases and why this practice has been important for the past four decades.
2. Recent industry changes and what it means for us (new technologies, big data, etc.)
3. Industry impact/commerce and how it affects our work area.
Francisco Olvera is a Systems Programmer at BMCC for 13 years. A computer science instructor for 17 years starting with DOS, writing batch files and other technologies working with Apache web servers via my personal website. I’ve recently returned to teach at BMCC Adult Continuing Education – SQL (Structured Query Language). When I’m not at work I like to spend time with my kids, read, cook and wood carve.
