Faculty Development Day 2021

November 12, 2021 at 10:00 am - 12:00 pm
| Zoom

faculty members in a seminar

BMCC faculty are invited to join us for Faculty Development Day 2021. This year’s theme is Research and Practices as we Transition to a New Realm of Teaching.

We are transitioning into a new realm of teaching due to the current health crisis which has profoundly challenged us, not just as individuals but as a community of educators. The concept of transition entails the adjustments made in pedagogical practices to support our students in a variety of teaching platforms such as synchronous, hybrid, and asynchronous. It also involves shifts in research agendas and practices to reflect the needs of students.

In celebration of the 30th anniversary of BMCC’s journal, Inquirer, and to support our journey to implement resilient teaching pedagogical practices, presenters will be authors whose articles were curated from the history of the Inquirer’s publication and are passionate about teaching and learning. Our colleagues will present on sustainable pedagogical practices that extend beyond the era of COVID.
