Psychology Club

Club objectives: The purpose of this club is to provide students with a network for pursuing psychology beyond the community college level of education, as well as finding out more about the field of psychology.
These objectives are important:
- to promote diversity in the psychology field–the field lacks diversity and BMCC is rich in diversity.
- to provide a forum for the exchange of ideas on psychological topics.
- to serve as a network and resource center for college transfer, career opportunities and extra-curricular activities that supplement psychology courses.
- to promote the flourishing of the psychology major – one of the most popular and fastest growing majors at BMCC.

Economics, Equality and Environment Club (EEE Club)
Faculty Advisor: Christine Farias, Ph.D.
Club objectives: The Economics, Equality and Environment Club is an academic club that aims to increase awareness about sustainability and responsibility on the Borough of Manhattan Community College campus through panel discussions, field trips, experiential and action learning opportunities of current local and global economic, social and environmental issues that affect life on Earth. The mission of the club is to educate and encourage students to be in action and more involved with economic, social and environmental issues focused around the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals. (2017-18 CUNY Sustainability Student/Faculty Grant Award Winners for video project “Food Waste to Golden Compost on an Urban Campus”)
