Upward Bound invites students to participate in a variety of public events after they have completed a 60 day probation and show that they are able to follow the rules of the program. Students must follow the rules and remain in good standing in order to continue being invited to participate in events.
Some of the events include:
- Painting lounge
- Natural History Museum
- Restaurants (restaurant etiquette)
- Shopping/Fundraising
- Reducing Waste project
- Broadway shows
Annual Retreat
In addition to these events, there is an annual retreat at Camp Ramapo located on a 250-acre campus in Rhinebeck, New York. Upward Bound students will spend two days there participating in a variety of activities such as team building, zip lining and more. All expenses are covered by Upward Bound.
