The BMCC Annual Research Sympoisum (BARS)

BARS highlights faculty mentored student research at BMCC across all academic disciplines.

The morning session is comprised of an oral presentations and a faculty panel. The topic that will be discussed is How to Implement Research in the Classroom.

The afternoon session consists of a poster session and keynote. We are very excited to have Dr. Alison Dell as our keynote speaker, who will be discussing Neuroscience from a Superfund site and breaking science out of the lab.

The Poster Sessions will be held from 2:00 – 3:30 pm, located in the Gymnasium. Awards will be offered to the students with the highest scoring posters.

    • 1:30 pm –Registration opens for judges
    • 1:30 pm – Registration opens for General public
    • 1:55 pm – Doors Open to everyone.
    • 2:00 pm – 3:15 pm – Poster Session
    • 3:25 pm – 4:00 pm  – Keynote speaker, Dr. Alison Dell
    • 4:05 pm – 4:20 pm – Mentor Recognition
    • 4:30 pm – 4:50 pm – Awards and Recognition
    • 4:50 pm – 5:00 pm – Closing Remarks
