Accounting Cycle Workshops

March 23, 2019 at 9:00 am - 12:00 pm
| Fiterman Hall | Room F-209

Students enrolled in Accounting Principles I (ACC 122) are invited to a free workshop series designed to give them a head start and to develop a solid foundation for achieving success in ACC 122, as well as in the field of accounting in general. Mastery of the first three chapters of ACC 122 is an essential for success in the course.

The topics covered in the workshop will include:

  • The Accounting Equation
  • The Double-Entry System
  • Accrual Accounting
  • Preparation of Financial Statements

The workshops will be taught by Professor Joel Barker. Experienced accounting tutors will be on hand at the end of each lecture to guide students through additional accounting exercises.

Students who have taken this class before and want or need a “refresher” are also invited.

The workshop consists of four consecutive sessions. Students are strongly urged to attend all four sessions. Attending only one session is of minimal value. You will have an opportunity to ask additional questions after the lectures. All necessary materials will be provided.
