Blood Drive: Help Save Lives

According to the New York Blood Center, a single blood donation can help save at least three lives. Blood donations help treat cancer patients, accident and burn victims, newborns and their mothers, patients undergoing surgery, and many more.

Refreshments will be available after you have donated blood.

Please sign up to donate blood.

This blood drive is open to all BMCC students, faculty and staff. At the blood Drive – Please bring a photo or signature I.D.  – You will be asked for I.D.

Here are a few facts to make donating easier.
 
Step 1 – Hydrate the day before – Increase your fluid intake the day before.
Step 2 – Eat salty snacks the evening before – increase your salt intake the evening before.
Step 3 – Sleep well the night before – Get a good night’s sleep.
Step 4 – Eat a well- balanced breakfast – Eat a well- balanced breakfast the morning of your
                 donation.
Step 5 – Hydrate immediately before – Drink water right before your donation.
