Have you or your classmates felt excluded in class or on campus because of the novel coronavirus, and you want a supportive space to talk about it? Are you interested in learning what are your rights are if you are discriminated against on campus?

This event both provides some basic information on your rights as a student, as well as a safe, non-judgmental space to discuss issues of harassment, bullying, and discrimination.

Speakers will include:

  • Theresa Wade, Deputy Director of Diversity and Title IX Compliance
  • Neda Hajizadeh, Director of Counseling, BMCC Counseling Center
  • Erwin Wong, Acting Senior VP and Provost
  • AND YOU!
We want to create a safe environment where you can talk about your experiences on campus if you would like, so feel free to come and just listen and/or come and share.

This event will be facilitated by Benjamin Haas, Associate Professor of Speech Communication and Theatre Arts and Member of Student Affairs Subcommittee of Academic Senate. Soniya Munshi, Associate Professor of Sociology will represent Center for Ethnic Studies and facilitate questions and answers.
