Students enrolled in Accounting Principles I (ACC 122) are invited to a workshop designed to give them a head start and to develop a solid foundation for achieving success in ACC 122.
The topics covered in the workshop will include:
— The Accounting Equation
— Analyzing Business Transactions
— The Double-Entry System
Understanding the accounting cycle and mastery of the art of preparing journal entries is not only essential to being successful in ACC 122, but to be successful in the field itself. Accounting, like mathematics, is difficult to grasp without a solid foundation of these basic principles.
The workshop will be taught by Professor Joel Barker. Students who have taken this class before and want or need a “refresher” are also invited.
The workshop consists of four consecutive sessions. Students are strongly urged to attend all four sessions. Attending only one session is of minimal value. You will have an opportunity to ask additional questions after the lecture.
