Students: Attend this free Learning Resource Center workshop to learn about using signal verbs and phrases when writing a paper.

Signal verbs and phrases helps the reader understand how someone is saying something, not just what they are saying. For instance, is someone saying something in agreement or disagreement with something else that was said.

The Learning Resource Center’s Grammar and Writing Workshops are designed to learn about best practices for good writing while emphasizing the necessary study skills for academic success.

These workshops are in collaboration with the English Department and Basic Skills Lab.
