Please join us on October 8 from 2-4 p,m, for a roundtable discussion and letter-writing action for solidarity with survivors of gendered violence.
We will discuss how gendered violence (domestic violence and sexual assault, e.g.) intersects with policing, incarceration, and immigration enforcement plus how defense campaigns have organized to free criminalized migrant survivors. There will be guest speakers joining us from Survived and Punished.
Writing letters to criminalized survivors helps with isolation and creates space connection, collaboration, and coalition. Currently and formerly incarcerated survivors share again and again that letters of support are so important to their well-being.
**Recommended supplies to have on hand: paper, pen or pencil, envelope, postage stamp
