Hispanic Heritage Month: Comic Strip Narrative Workshop

Killiam Agudelo is an Ilustrator/Papiermache artist. He will be giving a brief workshop on comic strip history like Krazy Kat (Herriman) Nancy (Bushmiller), Peanuts (Shultz), Calvin and Hobbes (Watterson). Plus discussion of some Latin American comic stip artists like Mafalda (Quino, Argentina), Condorito (Pepo, Chile), Supermachos (Rius,Mexico), Mad Marginals (Sergio Aragones, Spain), Macanudo (Liniers, Argentina).

The workshop will also give an introduction to Comic strip narrative, and panel composition. Thru the use of humor or introspective ideas we will analize how the use of text and image can construct a narrative in a 1, 3, or 4 panel structure.
