Hispanic Heritage Month: Ballet Folklorico Mexicano

The main kickoff event for Hispanic Heritage Month will take place during club hours (2-4) in Theatre II. Ballet Folklórico Mexicano of New York (BFMNY) will perform a Day of the Dead Procession and Traditional Dance, followed by a Mariachi band to help us celebrate and bring us back to the Day of the Dead altars and other traditional crafts.

Join us for Día de los Muertos celebration! All faiths and all cultures are welcome.

During the past thirty years the Ballet Folklórico Mexicano de Nueva York (BFMNY) has promoted and shared the cultural diversity present in Mexico through folkloric dance. Traditions and customs are cultural values that give a group of people its social and cultural identity that differentiates it from other populations.
