Hispanic Heritage Month: Dia de los Muertos, Day of the Dead Fiesta

January 1, 1970 at 12:00 am
| Main Campus | 199 Chambers St., Promenade outside Richard Harris Terrace, Theatre II, and outside room S-136

Día de los Muertos, or Day of the Dead, is a traditional Mexican holiday to remember our loved ones and those who have died.

Different than Halloween, it is a celebration of life to honor the dead. CREAR Futuros will be building a traditional altar to remember our loved ones on the ground floor outside the Student Affairs suite, room S-136. The altar will be on display and staffed outside room S-136 until Friday, 11/2.

Please join us on October 31 to honor your loved ones by writing their names in our Book of the Dead. We will also commemorate the victims of last year’s attack on the West Side Highway next to BMCC, and those killed by recent hate crimes as well as other victims of tragedies taken too soon by war or hate.
