International Students: Maintaining Status – An F-1 Travel Workshop

During the “Maintaining Status/F-1 Travel Workshop” an ISSO advisor will review F-1 regulations to ensure that BMCC international students are in compliance with all US Government regulations.

• What is the difference between F-1 “visa” and F-1 “status?”
• How to I “maintain status?”
• What do I need to do if I ant to travel outside the U.S. over winter break?
• How do I renew my F-1 visa? Do I need to renew it to travel?

Additionally, an ISSO advisor will also discuss the best methods for traveling outside of the United States during the winter break.
