Building on the open educational resources (OER) movement, open pedagogy engages students as knowledge creators, often in open, public venues. Assignments move from “disposable assignments” with an audience of one, the instructor, to meaningful assignments with a broader audience. Students may edit Wikipedia articles, write for public blogs or on Twitter or Facebook, or create and contribute to OER. Join us for a lively conversation with faculty from BMCC who are engaged in open pedagogy projects with their students.
