The Shirley Fiterman Art Center of Borough of Manhattan Community College (BMCC/CUNY) will present the annual Student Art Show — an exhibition of recent student work — with an opening reception at 81 Barclay Street on Wednesday April 17 from 4 until 7 p.m. The exhibition will remain on view through Tuesday, May 10.
Student Art Show 2019 offers a chance to view outstanding works by developing student artists and designers. Many of the student artists are BMCC Art Foundations majors, a program that offers associate degrees in Art History and Studio Art. The college also offers a range of courses in studio art, digital design and communications technology.
In addition to showcasing student artists, the Shirley Fiterman Art Center will present a BMCC music and art faculty recital on Wednesday May 1 at 7:30 p.m. and a student and faculty music recital at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday May 9 and Friday May 10.
