Power Your Job Search with Google Tools and Entrepreneurs Reach Customers Online with Google

Two part workshop for 2-hours focused on business student job searching & student entrepreneur training for finding customers online. This is a business student focused event so all CUNY business students or student entrepreneurs are welcome.

PART 1:
Discover and keep track of job opportunities on Google Search. This workshop will provide BMCC student job seekers training on how to use G-Suite and Google Search to enhance their job search experience.

The session is for active job seekers, individuals navigating career transitions, employment coaches and career advisors

In this session we’ll discuss best practices for:

  • Discovering career opportunities using Job Search on Google
  • Using Google Sheets to track the progress of job applications
  • Creating a resume using Google Docs

PART 2:
Learn how customers find your business online and how to promote your online presence using a free business listing, search engine optimization (SEO) techniques, and online advertising. We’ll introduce some tools that can help, including Google Analytics and Google Trends.

In this workshop we’ll discuss best practices for:

  • Creating a free Google My Business listing
  • Improving your website’s visibility in Google’s organic search results, on all devices
  • Advertising your business on Google
