Mental Health First Aid (MHFA) training teaches you how to identify signs of mental health distress, or substance use issues in your community. It will help you understand people’s challenges or crises, and show you how to respond effectively.

The Mental Health First Aid Training will be held on:

Friday, January 4, 2019

8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

199 Chambers St., Richard Harris Terrace

 

This 8-hour course will help you:

  • Identify signs and symptoms of anxiety, depression, and other mental illnesses.
  • Learn how to respond if you see these signs in your colleagues, friends, and loved ones.
  • Acquire a valuable tool for professional development.
  • Receive a certificate for becoming trained in Mental Health First Aid that is good for three years.

The training is open to BMCC faculty, staff and students.
