This is an opportunity for BMCC students to learn about Global Initiatives in World Peace.

Speakers:

Ambassador H.E. Ms. Teuta Sahatqija

Professor Lee Ritchey

Dr. Vincent (Tzu-Wen) Cheng

The panel discussion will inform students about how to become more active in helping to facilitate peace initiatives in the world and in our communities.

 

About Ambassador Sahatqija
BMCC welcomes H.E. Ms. Teuta Sahatqija, the The Consulate General of the Republic of Kosovo, the only diplomatic presence of the Republic of Kosovo in New York, welcomes the new Ambassador Teuta Sahatqija.

Until her appointment, Ambassador Sahatqija was a member of Parliament representing the Democratic League of Kosovo for the past six years.

Most recently she served as the Chair of the Parliamentary Committee on European Integration. Additionally, during her six-years in Parliament, she has served as the Vice-Chair of the Parliamentary Caucus of Democratic League of Kosovo, President of Women Cross-Party Parliamentary Caucus, and First Vice-Chair of Parliamentary Committee on Economic Development.
