VITA Training 2016: Learn to Prepare Taxes

The Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) program offers free tax help to people who generally make $53,000 or less, persons with disabilities, the elderly and limited English-speaking taxpayers who need assistance in preparing their own tax returns. IRS-certified volunteers provide free basic income tax return preparation with electronic filing to qualified individuals.

Training 

Training for the 2016 Volunteer Income Tax Assistance Program will be held on the following dates:

January 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 13 and 14, 2016
From 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

Please sign up online for VITA training.

Placement

After training and passing the basic certification test you will receive your site placement.

At the end of your placement you will be certified by Internal Revenue Service as a Basic Tax Preparer.
