According to the National Science Board’s 2016 Science & Engineering Statistics, women remain underrepresented in the science and engineering workforce with the greatest disparities occurring in mathematics, engineering, and computer & information science.
Join the BMCC Office of Research to have a discussion regarding the triumphs, disparities, breakthroughs and challenges for women in the STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) fields. This will be an informal discussion and networking opportunity focused on the issues that women face in the STEM field, different career paths and success strategies.
If you plan on attending for some or all of the event, please RSVP Ms. Rukiya Goddard at rgoddard@bmcc.cuny.edu.
