CANCELLED: Women’s Herstory Month: Behind the Songs – Sexual Violence and Music

March 25, 2020 at 5:30 pm - 8:00 pm
| Main Campus | Richard Harris Terrace
illlustration of women of different cultures

Are the lines actually blurred? This workshop will look critically at themes about sexual violence in popular music. Listening, and understanding songs’ lyrics will lead to a larger discussion about the music industry as a whole. We will look at some of the most public accounts of sexual violence in the music industry and delve into thinking about the power structures that enable this kind of abuse.
