Playwright Ann Timmons discusses her new play, It’s My Party!, about the struggles, alliances, and fractured relationships in the National Woman’s Party in getting the 19th Amendment passed in 1920. The play includes historical figures such as Ida B. Wells, Alice Paul, and Carrie Chapman Catt. We will also discuss the challenges of historically-based research for playwrights.
