At the age of 16, Ida B. Wells became the caregiver for her siblings, due to the passing of her parents during the yellow fever epidemic. The COVID-19 pandemic completely changed our lives in 2020 and many people have found themselves in the same place as Ida. During this event, we will learn about Ida B. Wells, her journey as a caretaker and how she practiced self-care. Attendees will also learn practical tools and techniques they can use to practice self-care in their everyday lives. We hope that you will join us for this time of positivity, support and appreciation.
