Women’s Herstory Month: If She Can See It, She Can Be It: Women in Leadership and Underrepresented Fields

| Zoom

A few facts to consider:

  • Globally, women hold just 24% of senior leadership positions—the U.S. lags behind the global average at just 21%
  • Women represent 45% of the S&P 500 workforce, but only 4% of the CEOs.
  • In a study of nearly 22,000 publicly traded organizations worldwide, 60% have no female board members.
  • Among new college graduates, men out-earn women by 18%.

While women make up half of the world’s population, we are not represented equally in positions of power. This disparity leads to:

  • Implicit bias
  • Discrimination
  • NASA engineers asking Sally Ride if 100 tampons would be enough for one week in space.

Join us for a panel discussion with women who inhabit underrepresented spaces (tech, leadership, politics) to learn about being a woman in male-dominated spaces.

This event is in partnership with Accelerated Study in Associate Programs (ASAP).
