A discussion about Black, Indigenous, People of Color (BIPOC) Women’s experiences with the Health Care System. Exploring the history of violence and exploitation of BIPOC women in the health care system, the high mortality rate of Black and Brown birthing mothers, and what you can do to advocate for yourself and your community.
Girls Talk is a weekly discussion group designed to support women-identified students, to foster connection, create brave space. The group discusses important, fun and open free-flowing topics about their experiences, life, academics, family, and more! Discussions are facilitated by a Women’s Resource Center (WRC) staff member with guest speakers, collaborators and guests.
