If you miss the application deadlines posted below, you may still apply for financial aid, but funds from some sources may not be available to you if you file late. Some award programs have limited funding and are awarded on a first-come, first-served basis.
Remember: You must reapply for financial aid every academic year. All financial aid applications expire at the end of May. New applications must be completed in order for financial aid coverage to be continued. In every subsequent year, you should follow the Fall Admission deadlines posted below in order to have your new applications processed well before for fall registration.

File your FAFSA on the Web now. You do not have to wait until you and your parents file your taxes to file your FAFSA. The FAFSA now uses your family tax information already on file from 2 years before. Note that the FAFSA for the next award year becomes available as early as October.
You should always try to use the IRS Data Retrieval option at FAFSA-on-the-Web to have your income tax information imported from IRS records to your application automatically. Make sure to file TAP on the Web using the “Optional Feature — Start your state application” link on the FAFSA Confirmation Page. |
January 30 | If you did not apply for TAP when you filed your FAFSA, go to TAP on the Web. Use this link to apply for TAP, but do so only after you have received your Federal Student Aid Report results from your FAFSA. |
