While you are enrolled in school, you will not be required to make either principal or interest payments on your Federal Perkins Loan. You will also not be required to make payments during a 9 month grace period after you graduate, leave school or drop below half-time attendance. Once you begin repayment, you may be allowed up to 10 years to fully repay your loan.
