Start Here and Go Anywhere . . .

With an associate degree in one of our programs, you will be qualified to enter the workforce, obtain additional certificates or go on to a four-year college to finish your health major. We prepare students to pursue both clinical and non-clinical health careers. Wherever you plan to go in healthcare, our degrees will help you get there. We offer degrees in:

  • Community Health Education
  • Public Health
  • School Health Education
  • Gerontology

BMCC Public Health Academy

Launched in August 2021 with a cohort of 20 students, the Public Health Academy links students with the fast-growing public health career sector. The program will also serve as a pipeline for BMCC students into baccalaureate and master’s degree programs at Hunter College, CUNY and Columbia University as well as provide entry to a variety of public health related professions.

Careers

Upon completion of one of our degrees, you will be prepared for entry level positions in the health care industry, including, community health worker, health and wellness and/or fitness coach, health educator, patient navigator or public health inspector.

Transfer Options

You will be able to continue your education in nursing, pre-med or pre-dental, school health education, physical therapy, mental health counseling, exercise science, massage therapy, nutrition, sonography/radiology, healthcare administration, environmental science or advanced public health majors. BMCC has articulation agreements with a number of schools to allow you to seamlessly transfer after completing your associate degree here.
