BMCC Community,
As we look forward to the upcoming holiday and the end of the Fall 2021 semester, I would like to convey my appreciation and well wishes to all students, faculty, staff, and supporters of the Borough of Manhattan Community College.
Students: I wish to share how grateful we are to support you along your educational journey — especially during these times as we continue to face a convergence of health, equity, and socioeconomic challenges. Rest assured that BMCC faculty and staff are in this together with you, now more than ever; and we will continue to support you along the road to earning your degree.
Faculty: Our mission is clear — we must continue to explore ways of meeting the academic needs of our students and guide them through innovative teachings and approaches to help them obtain the skills and knowledge that will prepare them for today’s challenges and tomorrow’s opportunities. I thank you for your continued dedication and thoughtful approach in guiding our students in their academic journey.
Staff: I applaud your energy and determination to keep our college’s services available so our students can have a quality experience as students of this great institution. You, and our faculty, are the ambassadors of our culture of care and I thank you for your commitment.
Donors, Alumni and Community: We are grateful for your continued support of BMCC, and we look forward to engaging you in future events and sharing with you new developments that support our mission of educating students. Your contributions are appreciated and we THANK YOU!
Finally, I would like to remind EVERYONE to please practice positive self-care during the holiday and year-round. You can find a variety of resources and helpful information on the Resilience, Health and Wellness website, if you are struggling with challenges that are interfering with your studies or work; or if you need someone to talk to. Remember, you are not alone.
Let’s continue to work together and support each other as we bring 2021 to a close. Your resilience serves as a great source of inspiration to me, and I look forward to next year when we begin our spring semester. Until then, I wish you Happy Holidays and a Happy New Year!
