The Learning Resource Center (LRC) offers computer based workshops in Linkedin Learning, Microsoft Office and Adobe CC products. We also provide 1:1 Software and Device Assistance on technology used in the classroom and LIVE Help in an array of areas. The team is committed to assisting students with academic success and professional development.

The Learning Resource Center (LRC) maintains four instructional computer labs at 199 Chambers Street equipped with 28-38 workstations each.

The labs are available for individualized learning, classes and small groups for self-paced exercises, scheduled and walk-in tutoring*, computer-based tutorial programs, classroom-supported software and computer training workshops.
The CIS/CSC Lab (S-510C*) has 28 workstations and provides scheduled and walk-in tutoring, workshops and open lab services for students enrolled in CIS/CSC/MMA/MMP/VAT and other graphics courses.
Our labs are staffed with coordinators and tutors who provide lab users with assistance. Some of the services we offer students include:
- Open lab hours for students to work on their own to complete assignments, explore and enhance their computer skills.
- Support for classroom related computing activities, study skills and course specific software.
- Troubleshooting and help with files or questions about PC related to coursework.
Faculty
Class workshops are generally offered on a specific topic for one hour in Microsoft Excel, Access, Word, PowerPoint, Adobe Photoshop or Linkedin Learning. The LRC also offers *Introduction to Computer Basics workshops for the novice who is interested in learning how to navigate the Windows environment. All workshops are conducted in the Learning Resource Center or remotely. If you are interested in receiving a class workshop for your students on a specific topic please email LRCcomputerservices@bmcc.cuny.edu to discuss details. The team is excited to share information and assist your students academically.
