Social Entrepreneurship in India
BUS 476 – 3 credits, 3 hours

Selected BMCC study abroad programs travel in the summer.
Taught in English, this is a study abroad course in which students will understand the unique nature, challenges, resources, and opportunities that affect social ventures in emerging economies. Students will learn first-hand the very different environmental conditions under which people live and work in a different part of the world, as well as experience the spirit of social entrepreneurs who find innovative ways to solve social problems within a market economy.
Program Fee: TBD (includes international airfare, health insurance, and program-related transportation in India, excursions, housing and three meals per day) BMCC 60% SCHOLARSHIP is included in price. Additional scholarship funds may be available for this program.
Additional Costs: BMCC tuition and fees for 3 credits, as well as out-of-pocket costs for personal expenses, visa, tips, and out-of-pocket meals. Optional side trips to local tourist attractions may also incur additional costs.
No prerequisite or corequisite is necessary.
