Modern Languages: Spanish Translation and Interpretation (A.A.)

The Department of Modern Languages offers an A.A. in Modern Languages with a specialization in Spanish Translation for the Health, Legal and Business Professions.  The program will provide students with the necessary skills to become translators in positions requiring linguistic background in these areas. This program prepares students for an in-demand and fast-growing profession. Career paths include professional fields such as K-12 education, court, legal, paralegal, medical and corporate translation and interpretation, multicultural advertising agencies, the fashion industry, sales and marketing and export-import businesses, journalism, food industry, travel and hospitality industries, social work, non-profit and/or humanitarian domestic and international organizations, corporate international communications, and government foreign policy agencies and departments.
