Quote:
If there is no struggle, there is no progress.
Those who profess to favor freedom, yet depreciate agitation,
Are those who want the crops without plowing up the ground,
They want the rain, without the thunder and lightning,
They want the ocean, without the awful roar of its many waters.

Power concedes nothing without a demand.
It never did and it never will.
Find out just what any people will quietly submit to and
You have found out the exact measure of injustice and wrong which will be imposed upon them.
And these will continue, until they are resisted, with either words or blows or both.

The limits of tyrants are prescribed by the endurance of those whom they oppress.
~Frederick Douglass

What I Love About My Job:
I love seeing student balancing their schoolwork with activities outside of the classroom.
When they succeed in both, they place themselves in a better position to succeed beyond BMCC.

Leaders become great not because of their power, but because of their ability to empower others.” ~John C. Maxwell

What I Love About My Job:
Where do I begin? I work with BMCC students who want to learn about serving others, leading organizations, supervising staff and managing projects as best as they can. On a daily basis, I am a witness to their stories, personalities, triumphs, challenges, resilience, diversity and everything else that makes BMCC students special. I experience this alongside BMCC staff who are ambitious, innovative, unique people who look forward to seeing our students graduating!
