  • Medical billing and Coding is a rising star in the healthcare field today. This course will prepare you to start a career in this high-demand occupation and earn the medical billing and coding professional certification that best aligns with your interest and career goals. You’ll learn how to use the Healthcare Common procedure Coding System (HCPCS) and the CPT Category II and ICD-10 codes. Additionally, you’ll gain hands-on practice using medical billing and coding software. Upon course completion, you’ll receive a voucher for the certification exam of your choice: CPC, CCA or CBCS.
  • Medical Assistant Training Program– Medical Assistants provide both clinical and administrative services within the health care sector. Our Medical Assistant program will prepare students to handle a wide-range of health care services / tasks ranging from administrative practices and clinical patient procedures for the private and public sectors as well as hospitals. Courses in our program include Fundamentals of Medical Assisting, Medical Terminology / Anatomy and Physiology, Medical Office Business Practice (including billing/coding and Electronic Health Records), Clinical Practice, Medical Assistant Internship and Certification exam review. Upon completion of this program, students will take a review class to prepare to take the National Certification exam and be ready to join the medical assisting workforce.
  • Hemodialysis Technician Training-The course is designed to cover the anatomy and physiology of the kidney, common causes of End Stage Renal Disease, principles of hemodialysis procedure, treatment options, commonly used hemodialysis terms and abbreviations, patient’s assessment, nutritional and social needs of End Stage Renal Disease patients, vascular access and cannulation techniques, infection control, medications, medical and technical complication, machine set-up, operation and monitoring.
  • Basic Accounting with QuickBooks Online (QBO)- Companies and Businesses are moving to QuickBooks Online (QBO).  The desktop version is being phased out.  Learn this new online version while learning basic accounting principles. This course will introduce the student to the basic concepts of accounting techniques needed to fully utilize QuickBooks for bookkeeping and accounting purposes. It covers, cash and accrual-based accounting transactions, chart of accounts, different types of business entities, financial report preparation and use of journals and ledgers for double entry accounting. The course integrates hands-on usage of QuickBooks with course bookkeeping lectures, to help students gain a full understanding of the material.
